I feel like I’ve spent most of my life trying to catch up to one thing or another. In our time and society, everyone and everything goes too fast. It’s the endless “Rat Race,” I suppose.
Since having Landon and officially becoming an “adult” — if I can ever ACTUALLY call myself that — I’ve been struggling to keep up with just about everything it seems. My peers. A career. Money. Bills. Student loans. The list could go on.
While I am STILL in the never-ending trying-to-catch-up cycle, I’ve also found that I am finally the happiest I have ever been. I still live paycheck-to-paycheck, but I am also living in the closest thing to my dream house that is attainable for me. And it’s mine (even if I rent, it still has all of my stuff in it and I take care of it). Landon is in the perfect school for him and he absolutely loves it. And so do I. We don’t have a lot, but we have what we need and we are able to do lots of fun stuff around my favorite city, Louisville.

Life is full of it’s ups and downs. I’ve been thrown plenty of curveballs. I will most likely ALWAYS be catching up. My life isn’t perfect and society would probably say I’m off my rockers. But I’m happy. And my son is happy. And that’s all that really matters right?
