Bloganuary #7: What do you like most about your writing?

This is something I’ve never really thought about before. I know why I like writing and I know what I like about other author’s writing, but I’ve never really considered what I like most about my own writing.

I suppose I like that my writing tends to be very conversational. I don’t actually know if that is a good thing or not – technically – but I do enjoy reading conversational posts, articles, and books by other people.

I like to think my writing can help other people in a way as well. I know I’m not the wisest person out here on the interwebs, but I think I’ve learned quite a bit in my years here on earth, and I do a lot of research on things, so it’s nice to share what I do know with others. I also know that my writing helps me as well.

When I write, I’m able to open my brain a little more each time. I feel more creativity flowing through me now that I’ve been writing more consistently, and from that, I feel more relaxed and at peace with myself. The practice of writing can be very cathartic, even if it is intense at times.

While I don’t feel this specific post will probably be very helpful to anyone, it does feel helpful to myself to think about this, and hopefully can help guide me in forming my thoughts and writing in the future!
